INSPECTION & TESTING

Does your electrical installation comply?

The importance of regular inspection and testing cannot be overstated, but unfortunately it is an area of electrical safety that is very often overlooked. It is now a requirement of the regulations to conduct periodic inspection and testing (max period between inspections is 3 years for industrial premises and 5 year for commercial premises).

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an inspection of the condition of an existing electrical installation to identify any deficiencies against the national safety standard, namely the current edition of BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.

Every electrical installation deteriorates with age & use. In cases of overload, poor construction or external influences; insulation degradation will accelerate.

Electrical Inspection and Testing is an integral part of STANEG’s comprehensive service, our Engineers have a wealth of experience in this field, helping companies both large and small to conform to the current edition of BS 7671 and therefore comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations (EaWR) 1989.
