Task - Verification of PL or SIL achieved - Limit of Scope
This service provides a verification of the resistance to random hardware failures achieved by the specified Safety Related Control Functions (SRCFs). The performance is quantified to either a Performance Level (PL) in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1, or a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) in accordance with EN 62061.
Other requirements of the functional safety standards (EN ISO 13849-1 and EN 62061) that deal with the systematic aspects are not included in the scope. This includes, but is not limited to, the verification of the determination of the PL or SIL targets, and the verification of the detailed design (both hardware and software).
The compliance with other standards that may also be relevant to some aspects of the Safety Related Controls (e.g. EN 60204; EN 13855) are also beyond the scope of this service.
All aspects of work would be carried out in co-operation with your on-site Engineers.
